The Winter Court of the Glorious Empress Iweko the First convenes on the islands of the Mantis. An irregular home for such an ostentatious occasion, yet necessity has trumped tradition. The Empire is besieged on all sides, and rotting from within. The distance of the Mantis Isles offers the court a modicum of safety in a dark time.

The armies of the Ebon Daughter assault the Emerald Empire. The Dark Oracle of Fire has renewed his assault on the northern lands, while an even greater force overruns the Kaiu Wall to the south. The demons of the Shadowlands have already retreated against this foreign force, their fevered route causing as much damage as the invaders themselves. And in the heart of the Empire, a sickness grows with each passing day. The Empire faces its most dire times, and now is the moment for heroes to rise.

The Harbinger is the latest expansion for the Legend of the Five Rings CCG, and marks the beginning of the 15th year of adventures in the Emerald Empire. For all this time players have fought for their Clans, raised heroes, and changed the course of the Empire. Now it is your chance to pick up the banner and fight along side them. Let not the Empire fall to the invaders, build you deck and change the story.
